Chevron has always been traditionally a single parquet, male and female, bonded down by hand and finished in-situ. Especially the 60 degree angle version and the 45 degree can look similar to herringbone. One of the problems with chevron is setting out the crown line when fitting and if it is not done accurately then gaps will appear getting exponentially larger as each piece is laid.
What is Chevron Parquet Flooring?
We have developed the “Chevron Plank” .The new engineered chevron plank collection represents a modern look on a classic pattern – the ingenious construction of ready made patterned boards ensures easy and fast installation, at a much lower than traditional cost. Unlike other manufacturers where they just create a bevel with a saw. We actually glue individual top layer pieces of Chevron to the backing board. This means that when each board is fitted together it looks exactly like each piece had been fitted separately.
The images below show a side view as well as the top and bottom of the plank. The image on the right shows the top and backing board and the other shows them fitted.
The boards come in 15mm x 260/300mm x 1850mm and the matching framing planks come in 15mm x 148mm x 1860mm , Colors tailor made.
Chevron parquet flooring is currently white, light white, light yellow, dark brown, smoke and so on.
